Raphael Hefti
Once they have been evaluated, the test images used to determine the speed and impact of ballistics tend to end up on the scrap heap, just like the detritus of many another research archive. In 327 Different Sounds Hefti brings a collection of such photographs back to life and at the same time adds a new interpretative aspect by drawing attention to the sound. Looking at these photographs, we can almost hear the quiet rattle of the pellets or the whine of the missiles.
